There is so much sadness...

 ... in this house. Brenda says to Nate when she first came for dinner.

He replied: "Of course, this is a funeral house".

This is just more than a conversation from the tv show "6 feet under".

Alan Bill stated that "Los Angeles is the world leading city in denying death". 

In this sentence Branda is with a new age guru approach; she feels the energy of the sadness in the house. Like there is a sadness in life,

Of course there is a sadness in the funeral house. Of course, there is a sadness in life.

How very powerful!
