Sunflower and lotus
""Nature is wise, not an old human being. A sunflower always knows the right direction."
I love this haiku of mine.
But here I would like to say something else.
My Dad has loved sunflowers. He has admired how wise they are because they always turned towards the Sun, to warm, positive.
The sunflowers in the field do this "as a team", they all turn towards the Sun together.
In recent years, I have come to admire the lotus. It is a flower that grows in dirty water and yet thrives
to remain clean and retain all beauty.
That is precisely why the lotus is a symbol of purity, nobility, and wisdom.
Be like a lotus and like a sunflower".
