Interesting interview with Dr. Emmy van Deurzen.
Her work is inspired by RD Laing, the Scottish anti-psychiatrist who said insanity is a “perfectly rational adjustment to an insane world”.
"When people are experiencing a mental health crisis, they need help to make sense of what has happened to them, and to find their way to healing," she says.
"Existential therapy is “a philosophical approach to therapy and how to live your life in a better way, "Van Deurzen explains, “it is about working with life, rather than just with the psyche”. She of course mentions Dr, Viktor Frankl in this article.
